WHAT we cut

We buy and cut most species. We currently DO NOT buy oak unless it’s blackjack oak. We typically do not cut oak, but if you have one you need milled, send us a message and we will get more details.

We DO BUY and cut pecan, cedar, blackjack oak, black walnut, cypress, elm, mesquite and most Texas native trees.

SIZE

We can cut UP TO 54 inch wide logs. (Measured side to side). We cut up to 12 feet long but prefer them to be cut in 8 to 10 foot length due to our kiln size. We DO NOT accept or cut logs shorter than 7 foot due to the railings on the mill.

NITTY GRITTY

If you have trees or logs you’d like us to buy, please read the following:

TRIM! Small branches, leaves, debri must be removed. If there are larger limbs that can be cut, you can leave them on the trunk.

Rot: some rot gives character, however, if the trunk is hollow we will not accept the log.

Trees need to be fairly straight, a SLIGHT curve is acceptable, nothing over a few inches due to having to fit it on the mill to cut customer slabs.

The price we pay depends on size, species and rarity. We do not haggle with pricing, we stay current on cost/demand so we have our pricing in order and will not negotiate for you to get a higher price. Sorry, this has become an issue and we don’t want anyone to show up expecting to get premium or slab pricing for log form.
